What are Plug plants?
Plug plants are seedlings which have been germinated and grown in trays of small cells. When the roots have grown sufficiently, they can be pushed out of the trays and either transplanted into larger pots or planted outside in the ground depending on their size.

What's the difference in the sizes?
Extra Value Plugs
We've germinated the seed for you and grown them into small plants. They will need to be potted on.
Value Plugs
These plants have been grown on in larger plugs and while they still need potting on, they are larger and more robust. These plugs provide balance between value and effort. Our Value plugs come in packs of 20.
Garden Ready Plugs
These plants have been grown on to the point where they are ready to plant in your garden, providing a great kick start. Garden Ready plugs come in packs of 15.
Super Plugs
Our Super Plugs are nurtured from cuttings to provide you with fantastic value and minimal effort. Ready to plant in the ground, our Super plugs come in packs of 6.

Which plug size is best to buy?
Depending on how much time and effort you would like to put in; Extra value are smaller, but you will have them much earlier in the season. Garden ready are instant impact and are ready to plant as soon as you receive them however, they won't be ready until later in the season.

Why are only some available?
Because we grow & nurture them until they're at the specific sizes mentioned, they take longer to become available.

What do I do with my plants once they arrive?
- Carefully unpack your plants and check that the compost is moist.
- Should any of the compost be dry, water carefully using a small watering can, and allow to drain.
- Stand in a light, warm place, and then follow the growing on instructions in this leaflet as soon as you can – provided they are kept moist, they can usually be left for up to 3 days.
