Tree Peony Yellow showcases primrose-yellow blooms that exude an air of elegance, making it the perfect addition to any spring or early summer garden. The magnificent, double flowers are made up of luxurious layers of soft yellow petals, complemented by a striking cluster of golden stamens at the center. The dinner-plate-sized flowers, measuring up to 25cm, emit a subtle, uniquely delicate fragrance. Few shrubs rival the glamour of tree peonies. While they may be an investment, their stunning beauty makes them true garden masterpieces, guaranteed to inspire admiration. Despite their diva-like appearance, tree peonies are easy to grow when their basic needs are met— a sheltered spot with full sun (or light shade) and fertile, well-drained soil. They can also be grown in large containers. Hardy and typically free from pests and diseases, tree peonies require little maintenance and do not need routine pruning. These resilient plants will thrive for decades, producing an abundance of lightly fragrant, dinner-plate-sized blooms each late spring or early summer. The flowers are supported by a strong, upright framework of woody stems, covered in deep green, divided leaves. Height: 1.2m (4ft). Spread: 90cm (3ft). Due to seasonal variation, we list by pot size rather than a fixed plant size. The height and spread of the plant may differ depending on the season, so the images provided are for reference only. The primrose-yellow blooms of Tree Peony ‘Yellow’ ooze sophistication and are the perfect shade for the spring and early summer garden. Magnificent, double flowers composed of luxurious layers of soft yellow petals, set off with a contrasting boss of gold stamens. Grow tree peonies in full sun or a lightly shaded position that is sheltered from cold winds. They prefer a well drained, humus-rich, fertile, neutral to alkaline soil. They will grow in most soils, except waterlogged and acidic soils, provided they are improved on planting. This is best achieved by adding plenty of well rotted manure or compost to the soil prior to planting, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply. Plant tree peonies so that the grafted union sits about 15cm (6") below the soil surface. Shallow planting may hinder establishment and delay flowering.

Caution: harmful if eaten

Live Plants

Dobies strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.

Non Standard Deliveries

Unfortunately like many companies in our industry we are currently only able to supply orders to UK based customers, excluding those in Northern Ireland. We are committed to finding a way that we can resume or normal services again as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvience caused.

Prices include VAT where applicable.

We reserve the right to contact you and advise an additional charge where necessary and are happy to quote for carriage of specific products to more remote areas. Some items may not be available to all areas.

We reserve the right to revise any carriage charges in the event of carrier price increase or other unforeseen circumstances. We will always advise of the carriage charge before payment is taken.

All Dobies products should reach you in perfect condition, just as they left us. If you are dissatisfied in any way with their condition on arrival, please let us know within 14 days. We are only liable for the cost of the goods as quoted on the website plus the cost of delivery if the goods are faulty.

Unlike many companies, we publish all of our reviews - good or bad - to give you, the customer, total transparency and peace of mind.
