They absorb all the water and nutrients they need from the air around them. Tillandsia plants can be easily mounted on wood, stone, or other supports, and require very little upkeep. Tillandsia juncea – A tall, slender variety with a grass-like appearance. Tillandsia caput-medusae – Unique, twisting leaves covered in a soft, silvery coating, giving it a fuzzy look. Tillandsia ionantha – A dramatic plant with slender, arching leaves that create a striking display. Tillandsia melanocrater tricolour – A colourful variety with rigid, elegant leaves.
