- Chilli Pepper 'Hot Collection' comprises:
- Chilli Pepper 'Montezuma' - Named after the Aztec ruler who was known as the ‘King of Cocoa’, this hot-chocolate-chilli is the perfect ingredient to put the heat into chilli-con-carne. The long, pointed, chocolate-brown chillies are sweet and spicy, each weighing around 15-20 grams and measuring 30-50,000 on the Scoville Scale. Height: 100-200cm (40in to 80cm). Spread: 50cm (20in).
- Chilli Pepper 'Scotch Bonnet' - Not for the faint hearted - this chilli is volcanically hot! Originating from Mexico, this variety produces tall plants with good crops that ripen early. It produces short lime green fruits that ripen through orange to a dark red colour, when the skins become slightly wrinkled. Height: 90cm (36"). Spread: 45cm (18").
- Chilli Pepper 'Tabasco' - Famed as the main ingredient of the well-known hot chilli sauce. It produces small, upright, yellow-green fruits that turn scarlet when ripe. 30,000–50,000 SHU. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 40cm (16").

Chilli peppers may be grown undercover in a greenhouse or polytunnel, or grown outdoors in a sheltered position in full sun. Pot up young plants and grow them on in warm frost free conditions. When plants are well grown transplant them into grow bags and containers, or plant them in well prepared beds of fertile, well drained soil. When growing chilli peppers outdoors, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days prior to transplanting them. Space pepper plants at a distance of 50cm (20") apart.
