The Mangave 'Colour Trio Collection' offers three eye-catching varieties of hybrid succulents, each with distinct shapes and vibrant colours. Combining the architectural appeal of an Agave with the fast growth of a Manfreda, Mangaves are perfect for adding striking visual interest to your conservatory or patio pots. A breakthrough in plant breeding, Mangaves are hybrids of Agave and Manfreda, making them hardier and quicker-growing than Agaves. They lack the sharp spines of their Agave parent, instead forming tighter, fuller rosettes similar to an Echeveria. With their fleshy, evergreen leaves and unique colour patterns, each leaf is bordered by tiny, comb-like spines. Mangaves are drought-resistant and require minimal watering. While they thrive in mild climates and can be grown outdoors year-round in coastal or city gardens, they should be brought indoors during the winter months in areas with frost. These versatile plants can be showcased as a bold focal point or paired with other succulents and tropical plants for a standout display. The Mangave 'Colour Trio Collection' includes the following varieties: Mangave Pineapple Express: A dense rosette of blue-green leaves adorned with bold burgundy spots, with a central spike that rises like the crown of a pineapple. Height: 40cm (16in). Spread: 50cm (20in). Mangave Blazing Saddles: A dramatic rosette of spiky, evergreen leaves arranged in a star-like shape, each blade featuring maroon spots on a pale green backdrop. Height: 20cm (8in). Spread: 35cm (14in). Mangave Frosted Elegance: Elegant glaucous-blue leaves arching with a soft green central stripe, giving this variety a frosted, shimmering effect. Height: 20cm (8in). Spread: 35cm (14in). Mangave 'Colour Trio Collection' features three striking varieties of these rewarding hybrid succulents, each with contrasting forms and colours. Boasting the architectural qualities of an Agave, but much faster growing, the Mangave makes an impressive succulent specimen for a conservatory or patio pot.

Grow Mangave in a container using very free-draining soil or cactus compost. Grow in full sun outside or within a few metres of a south-facing window in a conservatory/glasshouse maintaining a temperature of 8° - 32°C (46° - 90°F). Mangave can be grown outdoors in the UK between spring and summer as a patio plant or planted in a free-draining, sunny border as perennial bedding.

Water regularly in summer but allow the compost to almost completely dry out between waterings following a 'drenches between droughts' regime. Feed every 2 months in the growing season with a cactus fertiliser. Keep dry in winter. Except in very mild areas they will need to be brought indoors over winter.

Repot every 3 years or so, moving up into a pot just slightly bigger than the previous one. Mangaves can be propagated very easily from offsets that form around the base.

Live Plants

Dobies strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.

Non Standard Deliveries

Unfortunately like many companies in our industry we are currently only able to supply orders to UK based customers, excluding those in Northern Ireland. We are committed to finding a way that we can resume or normal services again as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvience caused.

Prices include VAT where applicable.

We reserve the right to contact you and advise an additional charge where necessary and are happy to quote for carriage of specific products to more remote areas. Some items may not be available to all areas.

We reserve the right to revise any carriage charges in the event of carrier price increase or other unforeseen circumstances. We will always advise of the carriage charge before payment is taken.

All Dobies products should reach you in perfect condition, just as they left us. If you are dissatisfied in any way with their condition on arrival, please let us know within 14 days. We are only liable for the cost of the goods as quoted on the website plus the cost of delivery if the goods are faulty.

Unlike many companies, we publish all of our reviews - good or bad - to give you, the customer, total transparency and peace of mind.
